Spring Flowers

Over at A Vintage Journey the
Challenge 4 is Spring Flowers so I have made this tag.
I have never had good luck with the Pinecone Die from Tim Holtz, but I thought I would give it another try.
I ordered the Found Relatives Cards from Linda at
I found them so large for my likening and thought
I would scan and reduce them to fit my tag.
This little girl won my heart over so she became my first pick for this Spring tag. She was Chalked and stained, don’t you just love this face?
I used the Frameworks Honeycomb die, which was painted and crackled.
The Butterfly is from the Mini Movers and Shapers Die from Tim Holtz.
Also used The Sketchbook tissue tape on this tag.

Thank you for stopping in, I would also like to apologize for my absence as of late, we were hit by lightning last week end and we are just getting things (some what) back to normal now.
Thank you again for your time. Have a wonderful week.

April Tim’s Tag

For all the details on Tim’s April Tag please click

As you can well see I didn’t come close, this is what happens when you don’t have all the new (Tim Goodies), but I did have this new die called Courtyard and it is sooo much fun to work with.

Tim did a wonderful Light background this time that I had to give it a try. (Love It).. Even though I covered up my water spots. Oops!

The die was cut twice , once using tissue tape (Sketchbook) over printed paper, then once from a manila tag. I inked the manila tag one and I used embossing paste on the tissue taped one.   Kinda Neat..

The top has a new die from Spellbinders, that was double cut from the left over manila tag, inked and sanded.

The black (Clock Die face) is Die-namics from My Favorite Things.
The Flowers are a Sizzix Die. All stamps from Tim Holtz.

I made (Hat Pins) from the cut out centers and stuck them in the flowers. If you look in the white box you can see them better.

Close up of Hat Pins

Close up of the background, suckie-darn this background is way to fun.
It’s a must try, so pop over to
Tim’s Blog and join in on the fun.
I’m adding my tag in Tim’s April tag challenge.
Thanks so much for stopping in and sticking through all the pictures today.
I tend to get carried away at times…
Hugs

Gee Wiz I’m Behind Again

Thought maybe I should post some of my March cards and tags!
Yes I’m that far behind.
I have two tags and four cards, so here goes.

This picture is of my Mother in law. I don’t really know much about the picture, I’m thinking maybe graduation from high school.
Come this November she would have turn 95.

Discover Tag.
I had forgotten that I had this embossing folder, what a shame as it’s a wonderful embossing folder.

Next two are just stitching on graphics, just note cards.
Spent some time with the old Wards Sewing Machine.

These two cards are background cards, nothing fancy.
Evelyn did such a wonderful job on her backgrounds, thought I would give it a try too
