By The Numbers

Well Look Who Has Returned. Just like a Bad Penny.
We have been working on our patio wall.
Finally got it down and stared rebuilding the new wall.
Funny what 42 years of Wisconsin winters can do to a cement wall.

I had two days to play and all I got done is one tag,
thought I would show you what I came up with.
Stamps used; Man’s body from Paper Bag Studios.
Head from Stampers Anonymous
Glasses from Stampabilities
Large clock and stopwatch from La Blanche
Map and Numbers from Hero Arts
Pencils from Oxford Impressions
Two Stencils from Tim Holtz’s
Word Play die for Numbers.

Thanks for stopping in today
Hope you have a safe and wonderful Labor Day week-end.

Travel Tag

 From    Tim Holtz’s Blog    August 03 2013.

Thought I would give this tag a try.
What caught my eye was the use of two brown tone ink colors that I thought would never work out as they both are pretty dark.
He used Pumice Stone and Frayed Burlap Distress Stains, which I don’t have as of yet.

So I used Distress Inks in place, and was surprised
at the soft color that came from these two together.

I did not have the masking stuff that Tim used
so I went with the trusted old Post It Notes

After playing with the inks and adding colors to the tag, thought I would cut up the second tag to make flowers from the Tattered Pinecone die. Well I’m pretty pleased with my self, as I have never been pleased with anything I have done with this die before. Good lesson learn (Stick With It).

Stamp credits, Tim Holtz, Hero Arts, Crafty Secrets and Fiskars.
Thanks for your time today, have a cool week-end.
